Introduction:

Siemens ceiling-supported equipment requires temporary rigging points within AirFRAME for the installation of the Siemens equipment. For this reason, SLD will manufacture a tool designed to be placed in these location for the installation of the Siemens equipment. These points will be called out on SLD drawings on the "Unistrut" page as a "Rail Install Tool".
Idea
The Rail Install Tool should be saved on site in the event the Siemens equipment needs servicing or removal in the future.

Preparation:

Do not install Damper-Diffuser doors prior to Siemens installation. Hanging doors will interfere with imaging equipment installation.

Place Rail install tool in the locations indicated on SLD drawings:

Info
The tool is designed to sit in place using gravity friction to stay in place.
Tek screws can be used to secure tool in place; however, ensure holes are caulked when tool is removed.

Installation Process:

Siemens installers will use the tool to secure their hoists in order to raise the equipment into place. When finished, they will set the Rail Install Tool aside. This tool should be saved in the case the equipment needs to be serviced or removed at a later date.
